How do I install the paddles?

Caution: Detach the spark plug wire and ground it to the engine before conducting any repairs or maintenance to prevent accidental starting.

  1. Remove the spark plug for safety.
  2. Elevate or raise the snowblower to a working height. Do not tip the snowblower as it may leak fuel or oil.
  3. Remove current paddles, retaining the bolts and nuts.
  4. Important: Be sure to remove the two spacers in the middle bolt holes of the rubber paddles.
  5. Place the spacers into the middle two bolt holes on the Tundra Tamer paddles.
  6. Using spring clamps, clamp the new paddles in place.
  7. Attach paddles using hardware from old paddles. Do not overtighten hardware.
  8. Reinstall the spark plug, and reconnect the spark plug wire.

Note: Do not excessively dry run the snowblower during warm temperatures. Ideal running temperatures are near or below freezing.
